AI Innovations Highlighted at SRTI Park Event

SHARJAH, UAE: Tech experts and in-house companies showcased AI innovations at a Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) event during a Business Breakfast, under the slogan ‘Born in Sharjah, Built for the World.’ Tech experts from companies including Al Hathboor Bikal, Nvidia, HP and Qamia discussed AI and quantum computing, highlighting innovations at SRTI Park.
Speakers shared insights into AI Factory, a structured system for managing AI deployment and development, which uses machine learning algorithms to optimize operations. SRTI Park CEO Hussain Al Mahmoudi spoke about the UAE’s AI ambitions and the need for more investment, noting the event was designed to demonstrate Sharjah's innovations and connect companies with investors. He mentioned the strategy of attracting startups in healthcare, sustainability, advanced manufacturing, mobility, and transport.
Panel Discussions
Panel speakers included Ahmed Mustafa from NVIDIA, Mujahid Khaled from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dr. Raouf Dridi from Qamia, and Raj Sandhu from Al Hathboor Bikal AHB. They highlighted people, technology, and economy as key elements of building an AI factory, emphasizing partnerships with data scientists, product managers, and CXOs. The technology stack includes data centers, intelligent compute stacks, orchestration platforms, and machine learning operations.
Startup Expansion
Startups were encouraged to expand beyond local markets using these technologies. AHB’s Dialog XR, an LLM-Based Chatbot built at SRTI Park, was presented by CEO Raj Sandhu. He explained that the domain knowledge-based LLM creates a conversational platform for internal and external use to improve organizational performance. Sandhu discussed how AI factories could drive regional innovation and scalable solutions, focusing on data centers, HPC, and accelerated compute. The Park's proximity to universities allows collaboration and offers HPC as a service and rentable GPUs.
SRTI Park Facilities
SRTI Park officials introduced the ecosystem’s infrastructure and offered tours of facilities, including the SoiLab (Sharjah Open Innovation Lab). SRTI Park is described as one of the fastest-growing technology parks in the Middle East, shaping the future of research and technology by promoting research & development and supporting enterprise activity through industry, government, and academia collaboration, creating a sustainable environment with infrastructure and services.
