Amazon is investing at least $20 billion to create high-tech cloud computing and AI innovation campuses across Pennsylvania. The investment is expected to bring at least 1,250 high-paying, high-tech jobs.

Salem Township and Falls Township have been identified as sites for future campuses, and other Pennsylvania communities are also being considered.

Governor Josh Shapiro said that Pennsylvania has secured the largest private sector investment in its history with Amazon's commitment. He added that the initial investment will create stable jobs as Pennsylvania workers build, maintain, and operate the first two data center campuses. The team worked with local leaders and Amazon to secure the deal and is working to secure additional sites. This will create opportunity for workers, generate revenue for communities, and ensure the future of AI runs through Pennsylvania.

Governor Shapiro has worked to spur economic development in Pennsylvania and has secured more than $25.2 billion in private sector investment, creating nearly 11,000 new jobs since taking office.
