With over 4,500 companies from more than 160 countries participating, the event highlighted how AI is transitioning from theoretical concepts to practical applications that are reshaping industries, workplaces, and daily life.

The theme of this year’s event, "The Rise of the Innovator," underscored the growing impact of AI across various sectors. Major tech companies like Amazon, Google, and Samsung Electronics, alongside emerging startups, presented innovative solutions that demonstrated the fusion of physical and digital technologies.

Physical AI and Robotics Take Center Stage

One of the most significant trends at CES 2026 was the rise of physical AI, which refers to intelligence embedded in machines that can sense, move, and interact with the real world. Unlike traditional software-based AI, physical AI enables robots and devices to perform tasks in dynamic environments, making them more adaptable and versatile.

Humanoid robots designed to assist in household tasks such as laundry, cooking, and cleaning were among the standout exhibits. These robots represent a shift from industrial applications to consumer-focused solutions, signaling a push toward integrating AI into everyday life. Companies like Siemens showcased how virtual models are transforming industrial AI adoption, while Lenovo and Caterpillar highlighted the practical applications of AI in manufacturing and construction.

The event also featured keynote speeches from industry leaders, including Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who unveiled advancements in physical AI models and next-generation GPU architecture. AMD CEO Lisa Su discussed her company’s strategy across CPUs, data center GPUs, and consumer graphics, emphasizing the role of AI in driving innovation.

Mobility and Digital Health Innovations

Mobility was another major focus at CES 2026, with autonomous vehicles and urban air mobility solutions taking center stage. Autonomous vehicles without steering wheels were presented not just as transportation tools but as mobile living spaces equipped for entertainment and productivity. Urban air mobility, demonstrated through next-generation aircraft, showcased how close the technology is to commercial use.

In digital health, personalization emerged as a driving force. Wearable devices that continuously analyze biometric data were introduced, aiming to predict disease risks and offer customized health guidance. Remote healthcare services, sleep management tools, and everyday wellness platforms also drew attention, highlighting the integration of health technology into daily routines.

The competition to dominate both ground and air transportation was evident, with Korean companies like Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, and LG Electronics making significant contributions. Over 600 Korean firms participated, accounting for more than 60% of the award-winning products at the CES Innovation Awards.
