Computex 2025, Asia’s premier tech show, demonstrated the enduring strength of the PC ecosystem, even as AI innovations took center stage. The event showcased a blend of traditional computing power and cutting-edge AI features, with 15 standout PCs, components, and peripherals leading the way.
Over the course of a week in Taiwan, editors witnessed a transformation at Computex. While the show has increasingly embraced AI, its roots in the PC industry remain strong. This year’s highlights included lightweight laptops, powerful desktops, and innovative components that push the boundaries of performance and design.
Top Laptop Picks
In the laptop category, lightweight and glare-free designs stood out. The Acer Swift Edge 14 AI, weighing just 2.18 pounds, featured a 14-inch 3K OLED touch screen, Intel Core Ultra 9 Series 2 CPU, and AI capabilities. Its magnesium alloy build and Gorilla Matte Pro finish reduced reflections by 95%, making it a top choice for general use.
Asus introduced the updated ProArt 16, a content-creation powerhouse with AI features and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50 series. The laptop’s AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU delivered 50 TOPS of AI power, while its 16-inch 3.8K OLED touch panel offered Pantone-validated color and 500 nits brightness. The Asus DialPad on the touchpad further enhanced usability.
For gamers, Acer’s Triton 14 AI combined Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics with Intel’s AI-first Core Ultra 200V processor. Its 1800p OLED screen and slim design made it a standout in the gaming laptop category.

In the desktop category, the Asus TUF Gaming T500 used laptop processors to lower costs and save space. MSI’s Cubi NUC AI+ 2M compact PC featured Intel’s Lunar Lake processors and AI capabilities, making it one of the first mini PCs to adopt these chips for desktop use.
Acer’s PD243Y E dual-screen display offered a practical solution for multitasking, with two 23.5-inch 1080p panels stacked vertically. Corsair’s Makr 75 keyboard allowed customization through an online configurator, while the P35S portable SSD introduced a self-destruct feature for data security.
AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series showcased near-server-grade performance, with the top model featuring 64 CPU cores and speeds up to 5.4GHz. The Radeon RX 9060 XT offered competitive pricing and performance against Nvidia’s comparable models.
Innovative Peripherals and Components
InWin’s Dubili Lite PC case provided a stylish and practical housing solution, while Lian Li’s RS Series simplified cable management with modular connectors. Thermaltake’s Minecube 360 Ultra ARGB CPU cooler featured customizable LCDs, and Gigabyte’s Z890 Aorus Tachyon Ice CAMM2 motherboard catered to overclocking enthusiasts with its innovative RAM design.
Intel demonstrated its next-generation processors, code-named “Panther Lake,” with working silicon showcased in reference desktops and mini PCs. MSI also unveiled prototypes of upcoming productivity and business laptops, featuring redesigned keyboards and a new logo.
