DMAP Explores Generative AI in Marketing

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP) recently held its General Membership Meeting (GMM) at the Ayala Museum, focusing on “Transforming Businesses with the Power of Gen AI.” DMAP President Miko David gave welcome remarks, followed by the induction of new members. Jay-Jay Tulio of Outcomm Inc. hosted the program, which explored how artificial intelligence, especially generative AI, is changing marketing and business operations.

Keynote Presentation

Rajesh Patil, Head of Territory and Channel Sales at Adobe Southeast Asia, delivered the keynote. He discussed Adobe’s AI capabilities, which enable content personalization, production scaling, and responsible AI deployment through Adobe Firefly. He highlighted Adobe’s dedication to IP-respecting AI tools and innovations like Firefly custom models, Frame.io for collaborative content review, and the Acrobat AI Assistant for document intelligence.

Rajesh stated that generative AI helps creative people by automating routine tasks, freeing them to focus on imagination, storytelling, and brand authenticity, safely and responsibly.

Panel Discussion

A panel discussion, moderated by AnyMind Group’s Philippine Country Manager Mayi Baviera, featured RG Orense, Head of Integrated Communications and Digital Advocacy at Globe Group; Mayk Juat, Creative Director and Owner of Three Spheres; and Inka Magnaye, voiceover artist, content creator, and PRO of the Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines (CICP).

Insights from Panelists

RG explained how Globe uses AI to improve media strategies, streamline creative production, and support internal teams, noting that AI simplifies and accelerates customer service.

Mayk Juat shared how his small team uses AI tools like ChatGPT, Notion, and generative image platforms to speed up campaign development. He stated that tasks that used to take weeks are now completed in days.

Inka emphasized using AI as a tool to enhance human creativity and personal experience, adding that authenticity, integrity, and personal storytelling are essential for content to resonate and that brands must use AI responsibly and transparently.
