Helios AI has completed a $4.7 million seed funding round, spearheaded by Collide Capital, with participation from S&P Global Ventures, Stray Dog Capital, Angeles VC, Equity Alliance, and Supply Change Capital. The funding will be used to help the company grow and add staff.
Francisco Martin-Rayo, Co-Founder and CEO of Helios AI, stated that procurement leaders can now predict prices and foresee climate and supply risks using one affordable system. The company also introduced Helios Horizon, which it calls the first multi-agent AI system created for food supply chains. The platform uses a supervising agent to coordinate different datasets and operations to produce custom business reports. Martin-Rayo likened it to having a team of Bloomberg analysts available at all times.
Helios Horizon Features
Helios Horizon provides data on over 75 farm commodities and 2,500 price series. Users can request forecasts for things such as seasonal cocoa or soybean outlooks and get detailed reports quickly. The platform expands on Helios AI’s price prediction models released earlier in the year, which the company claims are five times more precise than those of competitors. Helios Horizon starts at $299 per month, making sophisticated forecasting accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.
Democratizing Insights
According to Martin-Rayo, businesses previously needed teams of expensive consultants and weeks to analyze specific food products and forecast impacts on their supply chains. Now, Helios Horizon makes these insights more widely available.
Brian Hollins, Founder and Managing Partner at Collide Capital, said that they are excited about Helios AI’s ability to combine technical expertise with a large, underserved market. He added that Helios AI helps smaller food companies by providing access to enterprise-level insights that were previously out of reach.
Investor Confidence
The seed round demonstrates investors’ confidence in Helios AI’s technology and market position.
