Mozart AI: Music Copilot

Mozart AI, a London startup, is launching with pre-seed funding of $730,000. It aims to offer an alternative to generative music platforms. Unlike companies that generate complete pop songs from text, Mozart AI intends to accelerate the way artists create music.
Mozart AI's team believes this is an opportunity. Co-founder and CEO Sundar Arvind stated their tools aim to eliminate friction, not creativity, adding that making music should be fun and that producers don't want a one-click song.
Mozart AI Features
Mozart’s product is a digital audio workstation (DAW) featuring natural language controls and AI suggestions. It assists artists in building songs by suggesting chord progressions, melodies, samples, and drum kits, all under the user's direction. It also manages engineering tasks like quantization, audio effects, sound design, and routing. According to Arvind, the user remains in control, producing with a co-pilot.
Max Sarre, an independent music producer, said Mozart felt empowering and that the speed of suggestions and iterations felt like working with an AI replica.
Arvind said the company will not train on copyrighted music or generate full songs. Their aim is to help artists complete more of their projects by speeding up their existing workflows, not replacing them with AI clones. Mozart AI has been in private beta since June with over 25,000 users on the waitlist and is scheduled for public release on July 16. Investors include EWOR, New Renaissance Ventures, Stefan Glaenzer, and Atlantis Ventures.
Daniel Dippold, Founder & CEO at EWOR, said that the Mozart team built their first product version quickly and is excited to see how they change music creation.
The AI co-production platform targets independent artists and professionals seeking faster workflows while retaining creative control. Danny White, a producer who has worked with artists like Tiesto, said he was impressed by using text prompts for tasks and creating chords and is excited about its future.
Arvind and co-founder Arjun Khanna previously launched Blitzo, an AI-driven last-mile delivery startup. The Mozart founding team includes Immanuel Rajadurai and Pascual Merita Torres.
Arvind said their approach starts with the artist’s idea, building from the bottom up, unlike Suno, which edits a song after it's generated. Max Sarre, who tested the beta version in June, said Mozart saves time with every workflow.
Mozart AI will operate as a subscription service and will offer early access to select beta users before its official launch on July 16.
