NVIDIA Builds AI Infrastructure in Europe
NVIDIA is spearheading a major initiative to build AI infrastructure in Europe, partnering with key nations and industry leaders to strengthen digital sovereignty and drive economic growth. This collaboration aims to position Europe at the forefront of the AI industrial revolution, leveraging advanced technologies to foster innovation and competitiveness.
The project involves deploying NVIDIA Blackwell AI infrastructure across several European countries, including France, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. These deployments will provide over 3,000 exaflops of computing power, enabling European organizations to develop and deploy AI applications on a sovereign platform.
"This initiative is not just about technology; it's about empowering Europe to lead in the AI era," said a spokesperson for NVIDIA. "By working closely with European nations and industry leaders, we are laying the foundation for a digitally sovereign and economically vibrant Europe."
National Initiatives
NVIDIA is collaborating with leaders in France, the U.K., Germany, and Italy to accelerate the development of national AI resources. In France, Mistral AI is building a cloud platform powered by 18,000 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell systems, enabling organizations to develop and deploy AI applications using advanced models.
In the U.K., NVIDIA is partnering with Nebius and Nscale to deploy 14,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, making AI infrastructure accessible to enterprises across the country. Germany is also benefiting from NVIDIA's efforts, with the establishment of an industrial AI cloud using NVIDIA DGX™ B200 systems and RTX PRO™ servers.
Italy is advancing its AI capabilities through a collaboration between NVIDIA and Domyn, which is developing a large-scale reasoning model on its supercomputer, Colosseum, using NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchips.
European Telcos Build AI Infrastructure
NVIDIA is working with leading European telecommunications providers, including Orange, Fastweb, Swisscom, Telefónica, and Telenor, to develop secure and scalable AI infrastructure. This collaboration will enable enterprises to create and deploy customized AI models and applications, enhancing their operational capabilities.
NVIDIA AI Technology Centers
To further support AI development in Europe, NVIDIA is establishing and expanding technology centers in Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, the U.K., and Finland. These centers will focus on AI skills development, research, and infrastructure, building on NVIDIA's global investments in AI technology.
"Our goal is to create a network of AI technology centers that serve as hubs for innovation, education, and collaboration," said a representative from NVIDIA. "By investing in these centers, we are fostering the next generation of AI talent and driving scientific discovery."
The initiative underscores NVIDIA's commitment to advancing AI infrastructure globally, with similar investments in regions like Taiwan and the Middle East. As Europe strengthens its AI capabilities, it is poised to play a leading role in the global AI landscape, driving innovation and economic growth.
