Qatar and India Partner to Advance AI Through University Collaboration
The Arab Center for Artificial Intelligence (ACAI) in Qatar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India's Universal AI University (UAI) to accelerate AI development and innovation. This partnership aims to establish a specialized AI research center and develop advanced training programs, aligning with Qatar's vision to transition into a knowledge-based economy.
The collaboration will focus on establishing a dedicated AI-focused university campus and a regional hub for education, interdisciplinary research, and technology development. The initiative will offer academic programs in AI, engineering, business administration, environmental sustainability, and emerging technologies, catering to the growing demand for AI professionals in Qatar.
Key Objectives of the Partnership
The MoU outlines several key objectives, including the establishment of a specialized research center to drive innovation and produce impactful global research. Advanced training programs in AI and emerging technologies will be developed to meet the needs of the Qatari job market. Online and short-term educational programs will also be launched to provide flexible learning opportunities for AI professionals.

Eng. Tarandeep Singh Anand, President of Universal AI University, expressed his honor in being part of this project in Qatar. He highlighted the university's commitment to empowering learners, researchers, and innovators to develop solutions that make a real-world impact.
Details of the MoU
The MoU is valid for ten years and includes mechanisms for dispute resolution, the distribution of intellectual property rights, and annual partnership reviews to ensure outcomes. Implementation agreements are expected to follow, solidifying the long-term collaboration between ACAI and UAI.
