Samsung Electronics unveiled its 'Companion to AI Living' vision at CES 2026, showcasing a range of AI-driven technologies designed to enhance daily life. The announcement, made at The First Look event in Las Vegas, highlights Samsung's commitment to integrating AI across its product ecosystem, from entertainment and home appliances to health and wellness.
The centerpiece of Samsung's vision is the Vision AI Companion (VAC), an intelligent system that elevates the viewing experience by offering personalized recommendations for content, meals, and music. VAC's multi-device functionality allows it to sync with other smart devices, such as the newly unveiled Movingstyle and kitchen appliances, creating a seamless and integrated home environment.
AI Integration in Home Appliances
Samsung's AI integration extends to home appliances, with innovations like the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and Bespoke AI AirDresser. These products aim to simplify daily chores, such as laundry and clothing care, by leveraging AI to automate tasks and provide personalized solutions. For instance, the AirDresser features Auto Wrinkle Care, which uses air and steam to smooth out clothes, saving users time and effort.
The Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra, a robot vacuum powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing™ processor, is another highlight. Equipped with an Active Stereo 3D Sensor, it can recognize liquids and navigate through the home, doubling as a monitoring device when users are away. This level of integration showcases Samsung's commitment to creating a holistic AI experience across its product lineup.
Health and Wellness Innovations
Samsung also emphasized its focus on proactive health and wellness through AI. The company introduced FoodNote, a weekly report that tracks users' food intake patterns and provides recommendations based on health and fitness goals. Additionally, the Now Brief feature on the Family Hub offers personalized content for each family member, using Voice ID to distinguish between users.
In the health sector, Samsung's long-term vision includes using AI to shift from reactive to proactive care. By integrating AI with wearables, appliances, and other connected devices, Samsung aims to help users prevent health concerns before they occur. This includes personalized health coaching, exercise and sleep recommendations, and even dementia detection through research partnerships.
Samsung's commitment to security is evident in its use of Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix, which safeguard user data across its AI-enabled ecosystem. As AI continues to evolve, these security systems are designed to adapt, ensuring that user data remains protected.
The Samsung Exhibition Zone at CES 2026 is open to the public from January 4-7, offering visitors a firsthand look at these groundbreaking innovations. For more information, visit the Samsung Newsroom.
