Sony BRAVIA 8 II QD-OLED Series Launched

Sony India has introduced the BRAVIA 8 II series, a cutting-edge television lineup featuring QD-OLED technology and the AI Processor XR. This series is designed to deliver exceptional picture and sound quality, catering to modern viewers with its advanced features and immersive capabilities.

The BRAVIA 8 II series will be available in 65-inch and 55-inch screen sizes, offering a sleek design and superior performance. The televisions are equipped with Acoustic Surface Audio+ and support Dolby Vision Atmos and Studio Calibrated modes for an enhanced viewing experience.

Picture Quality

The BRAVIA 8 II series utilizes the XR Processor, which includes an AI scene recognition system. This system analyzes data and optimizes the picture quality, ensuring lifelike visuals. The series also features Studio Calibrated Mode, which reproduces image quality as intended by film content creators. Additionally, the Prime Video Calibrated Mode, Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, and Sony Pictures Core Calibrated Mode are included, providing automatic calibration for various content types.

The QD-OLED technology in the BRAVIA 8 II series delivers exceptional picture quality with deep blacks, accurate shadow details, and dynamic contrast. The QD-OLED screen controls 8 million self-illuminating pixels, enhancing every scene with vibrant and lifelike images. The series also features XR Triluminos Max, which reproduces over a billion colors, capturing differences in saturation and hue for a near 4K quality experience.

Audio Features

The BRAVIA 8 II series supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, providing visuals with contrast and spatial sound. Acoustic Surface Audio+ turns the entire screen into a speaker, using actuators behind the screen to create vibrations. This aligns sound with the picture, enhanced by cinematic bass from subwoofers, delivering an immersive audio experience.

Additional Features

The BRAVIA 8 II series features Sony Pictures Core, providing access to Sony Pictures movies in 4K HDR and IMAX enhanced quality. Users receive credits to stream movies in 4K Blu-ray quality with IMAX Enhanced visuals for 24 months. The series is also optimized for gaming, featuring Auto HDR Tone Mapping, 4K/120fps, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). The television switches into Game Mode with PS5 to minimize lag, and the Game Menu provides seamless access to game status, settings, and assist functions.

The Slim One Slate design integrates the screen and bezel, and the Eco Dashboard 2 enables management of energy settings and power consumption tracking. BRAVIA also incorporates recycled materials in components, and voice commands and accessibility shortcuts ensure operation for all users.
