Trillion Labs Joins Amazon’s AI Accelerator
Trillion Labs, a South Korean startup, has been selected for Amazon’s 2025 AWS Generative AI Accelerator program. This selection highlights the company’s rapid growth and innovation in the AI sector, as it aims to establish itself as a global leader in generative AI technology.
The AWS Generative AI Accelerator program supports early-stage AI startups, providing them with technical and commercial resources. Trillion Labs is the only Korean company chosen for this year’s program, standing out among over 2,000 applicants worldwide. This achievement underscores the startup’s potential in the competitive AI landscape.
A Milestone for Korean AI
Trillion Labs’ selection is significant as it is the sole Korean company and the only Korean LLM (Large Language Model) startup in the program. Founded in 2024, the company has quickly made its mark by developing advanced Korean LLMs. Its Tri-7B model, released just four months after the company’s inception, gained widespread attention for its innovative approach.
The startup’s rapid progress is evident in its subsequent releases. It launched a 21B parameter model followed by the Tri-70B, the largest from-scratch LLM ever built in Korea. This model has attracted interest from AI R&D communities worldwide, particularly due to Trillion Labs’ decision to fully release intermediate checkpoints of its models—a first for a for-profit company globally.
Benefits of the Accelerator Program
Through the AWS program, Trillion Labs will receive up to $1 million in AWS credits and participate in an eight-week accelerator program in Seattle, starting October 14. The program offers access to AWS cloud infrastructure, AI mentoring, and a global network of investors and partners. This support is designed to accelerate technological advancement and global expansion for participating startups.
Trillion Labs and the other 40 selected startups will attend the program in Seattle and present their technologies at AWS re:Invent 2025 in Las Vegas this December. AWS re:Invent is one of the world’s largest cloud conferences, providing a prominent platform for showcasing innovation.
CEO’s Vision for Global Impact
Trillion Labs CEO Shin Jae-min emphasized the significance of this selection, stating that it validates the company’s technology and innovation on a global scale. He expressed enthusiasm for leveraging the program to accelerate model training and expand services, with the goal of establishing Korean generative AI as a global standard.
The CEO’s vision aligns with the broader trend of AI startups aiming to bridge regional expertise with global reach. By participating in the AWS program, Trillion Labs is well-positioned to achieve its ambitions, setting a benchmark for other Korean AI companies aspiring to global recognition.
The Future of Korean AI
Trillion Labs’ success reflects the growing prominence of Korean AI in the global tech ecosystem. As the company continues to push the boundaries of LLM development, its contributions are expected to shape the future of generative AI. The AWS Generative AI Accelerator program provides a strategic opportunity for Trillion Labs to scale its operations and solidify its position as a pioneer in the field.
With its innovative models and commitment to open development, Trillion Labs is poised to drive technological advancements that could redefine the AI landscape. The company’s journey is a testament to the potential of Korean AI startups to compete and excel on the global stage.
