BigID DSPM for Mid-Market Data Security

Mid-market organizations face data security and compliance challenges similar to large enterprises, but often lack the resources for advanced security tools. Unlike many security vendors, BigID is adopting a partner-first approach, providing MSPs and MSSPs with the necessary tools and autonomy to manage and differentiate their offerings independently. Sirota explained that BigID is designed to scale as a cloud-native solution, offering flexible deployment options without compromising security or capability. This allows MSSPs and MSPs to provide fast value, reduce data and AI risk, and easily scale services.

This scalability is particularly relevant as data governance and AI oversight converge, with organizations increasingly concerned about how their data is being used, particularly in AI workflows. BigID considers this a natural extension of DSPM. Sirota states that AI and data security are interconnected, especially with increased AI adoption across SaaS and hybrid environments. BigID goes beyond traditional DSPM by combining data discovery with classification accuracy, context, and control across hybrid, SaaS, and multi-cloud environments.

While other DSPMs focus on visibility, BigID enables action by automatically enforcing policies, mapping AI data flows, flagging inappropriate AI data, and building trust in data fueling AI. By aligning DSPM with AI readiness, BigID is enabling its MSP partners to deliver a comprehensive data governance layer.
