Google Ads Introduces Agentic Capabilities

Google Ads announced agentic capabilities for marketers. This follows the announcement at I/O about using research to develop helpful AI that is more intelligent, agentic, and personalized.

Marketers today manage data analysis, content creation, and campaign optimization. Reaching consumers while they search, scroll, stream, and shop is important. Agentic capabilities are launching to improve performance and reduce manual effort.

Agentic Capabilities in Google Ads and Analytics

Over half a million advertisers have used the conversational experience in Google Ads to create Search campaigns. Soon, broader agentic capabilities will be available for customers to use, with their guidance, in Google Ads and Google Analytics. These will assist with onboarding, campaign creation, reporting, and troubleshooting, for more confident campaign optimization.

These tools use datasets, landing pages, assets, and real-time performance data to help marketers achieve business goals. In Google Ads, the agentic expert will offer personalized recommendations for new and existing campaigns, including keyword and creative suggestions, and can implement them. It can suggest tailored ad groups with tightly themed assets for better results. In Google Analytics, the data expert will show insights and trends and enable data exploration with visuals for improved decision-making. These capabilities will also help marketers troubleshoot campaign issues.

Introducing Marketing Advisor

Marketing Advisor, an AI agent within the Chrome browser, will help advertisers manage marketing tasks. After installation and sign-in with a Google account and Google Ads campaigns, Marketing Advisor understands a marketer’s goals. As a side panel, it offers step-by-step guidance on web pages. It proactively helps advertisers run assessments and identify strategies across their business. For example, it will recommend and apply strategies across multiple lines of business, offering insights like seasonal trends for product categories.

Marketing Advisor is helpful when working across Google properties like Google Ads, Help Center, Google Analytics, and within websites and CMS systems, helping to diagnose problems with campaigns or uncover new opportunities. It streamlines multi-site tasks such as tagging, identifying missing tags and offering installation with permission. Marketing Advisor will begin rolling out later this year.
