CEO Sundar Pichai's 92 mentions of AI during his keynote stood out. The mentions of Gemini were even more prevalent. Google I/O 2025 will be remembered for AI integration into Google products, advancements in AI models, and updates to Gemini. AI in Google Products

The AI Mode in Search will enable users to ask more complex questions, utilizing advanced reasoning. AI Mode in Labs will feature deep research capabilities, Project Astra's live capabilities, and agentic capabilities from Project Mariner. A new AI Mode shopping experience will integrate Google's Shopping Graph with AI, aiding users in browsing ideas, comparing options, and making choices. Gemini 2.5 will be available in Search for AI Mode and AI Overviews in the US.

Gemini Updates and Features

With the interactive quiz feature, users can ask Gemini to create practice quizzes. Camera and screen sharing for Gemini Live will be available to Gemini app users on iOS. Users can upload PDFs and images to Deep Research to create research reports. Agent Mode will allow Google AI Ultra subscribers to describe their goals, and Gemini will execute tasks on their behalf. LearnLM will be integrated directly into Gemini 2.5.
