Google Shopping: AI Vision & Virtual Try-On

Google Shopping is introducing new AI tools to help you realize your fashion and beauty visions. Google Shopping offers immersive shopping features that can help whether you’re updating your wardrobe or exploring spring makeup trends. Google's AI models and Shopping Graph are combined to help you turn your fashion and beauty visions into reality and make informed buying decisions.
People shop on Google more than a billion times per day, and some shopping experiences are more involved than others. It can be difficult to translate a vision for an item that fits your personal style into something you can quickly purchase. More than half of shoppers have trouble finding a specific item of clothing when they have a vision in mind.
Vision Match
All mobile users in the U.S. can now match what they’re picturing to real-world products on Search and the Shopping tab. Vision match, previously an experiment in Labs, lets you describe any garment you have in mind. It then uses AI image generation to show you ideas of what it could look like and similar shoppable products.
To try it, search for any garment, including as many details as you like, and scroll to the “Can’t find it? Create it” prompt. You'll receive suggestions to get you started, and you can refine your vision and browse products. Vision match can also be found by navigating to the left-hand panel in the Shopping tab and tapping “Create & shop.”
AR Beauty
More than half of Americans who use makeup seek inspiration online. It's not always easy to find makeup inspiration you can shop online, and you can't always see how a certain look would appear on you. AR beauty features make it easier to envision products on yourself, and they're now improving with Gemini models. Rolling out this week, U.S. shoppers can virtually try on and shop beauty looks with multiple makeup products, drawing inspiration from celebrities, influencers, and beauty trends.
When you search for celebrity makeup looks or terms like “spring makeup” on mobile, you can try on products inspired by that look. For example, searching “soft glam” might offer you a selection of neutral eyelash, a rosy blush, and a subtle lip gloss, all applied virtually to your face. Tap “See the looks on you” when browsing Search on mobile, and click “try it on” to get started. You can instantly explore full makeup styles, combining lipsticks, mascaras, eyeshadows, and eyeliners from various brands, thanks to Google’s Machine Learning technology.
Virtual Try-On
The virtual try-on tool was launched to make it easier to visualize garments on models. It has since expanded from tops to dresses, and a new experience is rolling out so you can visualize pants and skirts from hundreds of brands. Finding the right style is only a few clicks away whether you need skinny jeans, a silk skirt, or linen pants. Use Google Search or the Google Shopping tab on mobile and desktop to look for pants or skirts and select any result that includes a “try on” badge. You can see what the garment looks like on models ranging from XXS-XXL.
To improve length accuracy and brand styling, Machine Learning models have been updated to generate the full look from the matching top to the shoes the model is wearing. This feature is rolling out to bring more visual inspiration to your shopping journeys on Google, helping you better visualize how items fit your style so you can feel more confident when you buy.
